Gentle Dental Extractions

A tooth extraction is one of the more common dental procedures. When a tooth is too damaged or decayed, crowds your other teeth, or causes you pain, sometimes the best treatment is to remove it and replace it with a bridge or implant.

At One Tree Family Dentistry, we perform tooth extractions as gently as possible. Our goal is to relieve your pain, not cause more. If you have one or more teeth that cause discomfort, please call us to schedule an appointment. Delaying treatment will only allow the problem to get worse, so please contact us today.

Care for Your Mouth After an Extraction

When you come to One Tree Family Dentistry for an extraction, we'll numb the area around the tooth and perform the procedure. A small amount of bleeding is expected, but it will stop shortly.

Caring for your mouth after an extraction is important to promote healing and prevent an infection. We'll provide you with complete instructions in our office, but in general, post-extraction care is fairly simple:

  • Avoid activities that may aggravate the area, such as smoking, drinking through a straw, or eating foods that might leave particles (like seeds) in the area.
  • Take pain medication as prescribed or recommended.
  • When cleaning your other teeth, be careful to avoid disturbing the area around the extraction.
  • Contact us immediately if you experience excessive swelling or other complications.

I came to get a root canal done after neglecting my teeth and now I won’t ever go to any other dentist, ever.

The staff is so friendly and caring. And they do a great job. They’re also very reasonably priced, making them the full package.
